Now You See Them by Elly Griffiths was inspired by her grandfather, a music hall comedian who worked with Jasper Maskelyne, a magician and World War 2 spy.

The fifth book in the Brighton Mysteries series is set in the 1960s. It has it all; sexism, abduction, murder, stage magic, and a bank holiday invasion by the mods and rockers.

Three young women have gone missing.
